The rules at a glance

The standard Daily Dive has seven prompts, with 25 seconds to name one thing for each prompt. Everyone receives the same daily set. Your answer needs to fit the question; accepted answers earn points according to their assigned tier. The regular daily is one attempt per day.

Each point represents ten metres of game depth. The current maximum is 700 points, or 7,000 metres, across seven rounds. Depth is the game's visual way of expressing your score.

Rules checked on October 18, 2026 against the official game and its public rules display. Krillion can change, so an on-screen rule in the current game takes precedence over an older guide. Krillion Trivia is an independent resource and does not run the official game.

How to start your first Daily Dive

  1. Open Krillion on krillion.io. This takes you to the developer's site.
  2. Read the game's instructions before starting the timed session. When a prompt appears, identify exactly what kind of answer it requests.
  3. Think of a response that qualifies. The task is to name something, rather than select an option from a standard multiple-choice list.
  4. Submit within the round's 25-second window. A less familiar accepted answer can earn more, but an unusual answer still has to satisfy the prompt.
  5. Continue through all seven rounds, then read your total. Use our score calculator if you want the arithmetic explained.

A practical approach is to keep a qualifying backup in mind before searching for a more distinctive answer. This is editorial advice, not a tested promise of a higher score. Spending the whole timer on an uncertain response carries an obvious trade-off: you may finish with nothing submitted.

What your points and depth mean

The current per-answer values are Miss: 0, Plankton: 10, Too Clever: 15, Schooler: 30, Rare: 60, Deep Cut: 85 and One in a Krillion: 100. These are points awarded to a round, not fixed percentages of players.

For an invented arithmetic example, seven recorded round scores of 100, 85, 60, 30, 15, 10 and 0 add up to 300 points. Multiply that total by ten to get 3,000 metres. These numbers illustrate the scoring system; they are not a real day's answers or a claim about an actual player's run.

A final-score comparison such as a percentile answers a different question: how a finished result compares with other recorded results. A round's answer tier describes its assigned score. Our calculator adds awarded points; it cannot calculate either answer popularity or your global rank.

Why a plausible answer might be missed

The official FAQ explains that responses are checked against curated answer collections. A real-world answer can be absent from that collection. Alternative names and autocorrect can also produce an unexpected match.

Rarity is not simply a live count of what today's players typed. The developer describes different curation methods for different questions, and the highest-scoring selection also considers how satisfying it is to find. That makes a universal percentage calculator inappropriate.

If a result seems wrong, first check the wording and the answer the game recorded. For a game-result dispute, use the support details in the official FAQ. For an error in this guide, contact Krillion Trivia. We cannot change accepted answers, restore a turn or alter official scores.

When does Krillion reset?

The current public date logic uses midnight in America/New_York for the daily change. That means New York local time, including its daylight-saving changes, rather than your device's midnight or one fixed UTC hour throughout the year.

Near the boundary, check the daily shown in the official game before comparing a result with someone elsewhere. Two people using different local calendars can still be looking at the same New York daily. We do not label unverified material as today's answer or provide an invented daily archive.

This reset description was checked on October 18, 2026 in the homepage's public date and score configuration. It describes the observed client implementation.

Daily, Unlimited and Friends

The Daily Dive is the shared standard daily session. Krillion Unlimited has a separate official destination. The official packs directory also lists themed products such as Movies and Geography. Check each official offer for current access conditions.

Friends is a social results feature. The official privacy page describes comparing completed daily scores and optional answer sharing. That is different from a verified live head-to-head game: the FAQ still describes multiplayer and a party game as future plans at this check.

Start with the standard daily rules, choose the mode on the developer's site and use this guide for explanation. Our About page explains what this independent site publishes and how it is maintained.
