Start with three pieces of information

  1. The complete prompt. Keep every date, location, letter and category condition.
  2. Your intended entry and the recorded answer. If the result shows a different name, note the difference.
  3. The exact result. Separate a miss or rejection from an accepted answer that earned fewer points than expected.

Review after the round rather than treating this page as a way to change a running game. Note the displayed Daily Dive label or date if you have it; do not guess a number from your local calendar. If the result page does not expose an item, mark it as unknown.

Krillion Trivia does not connect to the developer’s answer bank. This guide can organize a question about a result, but it cannot reverse a rejection or confirm that an unrecorded answer was accepted.

The answer is the wrong kind of thing.A category mismatch.Does the prompt ask for a state, city, person, work or something else?
The answer fits the broad topic but misses one condition.A qualifier changes the eligible set.Recheck dates, boundaries, initials and words such as “only” or “entirely.”
The game records a different answer from the one intended.A spelling or alias match may have intervened.Compare the intended spelling with the recorded result.

The answer was accepted, but its points surprised you.A scoring question, rather than a rejection.Record the awarded tier; use the scoring guide to interpret the points.

This is a troubleshooting table, not a description of every internal matching rule. The symptom alone may not identify the cause.

Check the condition before the spelling

These original examples illustrate reasoning only. They are not reported Daily Dive questions or tests against the game.

  • “Name a US state beginning with M” → Miami. The first letter fits, but Miami is a city. A spelling change cannot fix the category mismatch.
  • “Name a prime number greater than 20 and less than 40” → 39. The range fits, but 39 equals 3 × 13. The missed condition is primality.
  • “Name a country entirely in the Southern Hemisphere” → Brazil. Much of Brazil lies south of the equator, but “entirely” rules it out.

For your own entry, write one sentence explaining why it meets each condition. If that explanation needs an assumption the prompt does not allow, investigate the assumption first.

When the question genuinely allows several interpretations, preserve the wording in a report. Do not silently replace it with a broader question that makes your answer work.

Why a qualifying answer can still produce a surprise

The developer’s FAQ says answer collections are assembled from sources and cleaned, and that fair answers can be missed. It also explains that autocorrect checks aliases, which can occasionally map an entry to an unexpected answer.

That gives you reasons to investigate, not proof that a particular rejection was a database error. A public source can establish a real-world fact; it does not establish what the game recognized in your session.

Keep the intended answer and the recorded answer in separate fields. If you remember typing one thing but cannot see the result now, say that the entry is recalled rather than presenting it as a captured record.

Find evidence that proves the specific point

Use a source that addresses the prompt’s actual constraint. For a dated achievement, prefer the organizer’s result record. For a credit, look for the creator’s or publisher’s credit listing. For geography, use an authoritative geographic reference. A page that merely mentions the name may not prove eligibility.

Your report should connect the source to the condition in one sentence: “This official result lists the athlete as the winner of the named event in the requested year.” Include the page URL and the relevant heading, date or entry so the developer can find the evidence.

If the evidence is incomplete, state what remains uncertain. A concise report with one relevant source is more useful than a long list of search results that do not settle the issue.

Send a concise report through the official route

Use the game’s own feedback control when available. The official privacy page lists support@krillion.io as a support contact. This is the developer’s address, separate from Krillion Trivia’s corrections inbox.

Copy this structure into your message and fill only the details you actually have:

Subject: Possible missing answer — [displayed dive label]

Game URL: [the exact krillion.io page]
Dive label/date shown: [or unknown]
Exact prompt: [complete wording]
Answer I intended: [spelling]
Answer/result displayed: [recorded wording, or unknown]
Why it appears to qualify: [one sentence]
Supporting source: [public URL and relevant entry]
Screenshot: [optional, if it shows the issue]

Describe it as a possible missing answer or unexpected match until the cause is established. A report does not guarantee a score adjustment, a restored turn or a response by a particular date.

Turn the review into one useful practice note

If you missed a qualifier, record the qualifier. If you confused two names, record their distinguishing fact. If the case is unresolved, label it unresolved rather than memorizing it as an officially accepted answer.

A short note such as “check whether the prompt asks for the city or the country” is reusable. Our rare-answer strategy guide offers exercises for this final check, and the score log keeps a learning note beside each completed result.

Sources and review scope

Published and edited October 26, 2026. The curation and autocorrect explanations were checked that day against the official FAQ; the support address was checked against the official privacy page. Those checks do not validate an individual answer or document every matching rule.

The decision table, examples and report structure are original editorial guidance. We have not submitted the example answers to the game. To correct this article, use our contact page; official game-result reports belong with the developer.
